New Eligibility requirements
As of January 1, 2009 the following eligibility requirements will be in effect for the CLTM Examination
The Certification Examination in Long Term Monitoring is designed and written for the advanced level R. EEG T. who has had at least one year of experience in Neurophysiologic Long Term Monitoring.
This examination is designed for EEG professionals who are trained and currently practicing in a monitoring environment. Candidates will be expected to have been an active participant in the set-up, monitoring, and review of prolonged video-EEG cases, bedside and ambulatory EEG monitoring, and EEG monitoring in the ICU. Candidates must meet the following requirements by the application deadline. There are no alternative routes.
- A minimum of one year as an R. EEG T. A copy of current registration must accompany the Application.
- The supervisor or supervising physician must verify that the candidate has had at least one year of experience in Long Term EEG Monitoring after the R. EEG T. was earned, by signing the application.
- Completion and filing of an Application for the Certification Examination in Long Term Monitoring.
- Payment of required fee.
