New Eligibility requirements for 2012

As of January 1, 2012 the following eligibility requirements will be in effect for the Evoked Potential Written Examination

The Registration Examination for Evoked Potential Technologists is designed and written for those health care professionals who are trained and currently practicing evoked potential technology. Candidates must meet one of the following requirements by the application deadline. There are no alternative routes.

  1. Be enrolled as a current student, or a graduate of a CAAHEP Accredited END Program from the list on page 5. The Program Director must sign the application, or a letter from the program director should be included with the application.
  2. Have a minimum of an associate degree and two years of END experience. Proof of your associate degree is required. Supervisor or Medical Director must attest to this by signing the application.
  3. Candidate is taking the examination for recertification no more than one year prior to expiration of his/her current R. EP T. credential.
  4. Candidate is taking the examination to reinstate a lapsed R. EP T. credential. This candidate is treated considered a new potential certificant and must meet the current eligibility requirements and submit all required documentation.

    Complete and submit an Application for Part I of the Registration Examination in Evoked Potential Technology along with the required fee only after the above has been met and appropriately documented. Applications received after the stated deadline may not be processed.
