ABRET Announces
Computer Based Testing (CBT)
In partnership with the Professional Testing Corporation (PTC), ABRET is pleased to announce the written EEG and EP exams and the CNIM exam will be offered at LaserGrade testing centers throughout the US and Canada beginning in May 2007.
LaserGrade is the largest US owned and operated computer-based testing network in North America. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, LaserGrade offers proctored computer-based test administration for occupational and professional licensure and certification, IT certification and the Federal Aviation Administration using its own secure network and software.
Professional Testing Corporation (PTC), based in New York, was founded in 1983 to provide professional organizations of all sizes with quality psychometric services. Over the years PTC has expanded its range of services to include certification and licensure testing, self assessment, international testing, psychometric counseling and statistical analysis services.
The American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) is the credentialing board for EEG, Evoked Potential, and Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring Technologists. ABRET has been credentialing technologists for over 40 years.
Procedure
The examinations will be administered during an established two-week testing periods on a daily basis, Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays at LaserGrade Computer Testing, Inc. LaserGrade has several hundred computer-based testing sites in the United States. Scheduling is done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Hours and days of availability vary at different centers. Please note that you will not be able to schedule your examination appointment until you have received an Eligibility Notice from PTC.
If you do not receive an Eligibility Notice or other correspondence at least three weeks before the beginning of the testing period, contact the Professional Testing Corporation by telephone at 212-356-0660.
If you need to cancel your examination appointment or reschedule to a different date within the testing period you must contact LaserGrade at 800-211-2754 no later than noon, Easter Standard Time of the second business day PRIOR to your scheduled appointment.
There are no refunds for this examination. If you fail to arrive for your appointment or do not reschedule within the same testing period, you will forfeit your testing fee.
