Reimbursement Through The GI Bill

ABRET Exams Approved by the Department of Veterans' Affairs Veterans may use their G.I. Bill education benefits to pay the cost of approved licensing and certification tests. ABRET applied and received approval for the written EEG, EP and CNIM exams, as well as the EEG and EP Oral/Practical exams to be recognized by the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

Qualified veterans will be able to apply for benefits through the licensing and certification approval system (LACAS). Forms may be obtained at a local, state or federal VA office. Candidates applying for VA benefits to cover the costs of the exams must submit a copy of their test results with the appropriate forms. ABRET is a national credentialing board and a not-for-profit corporation. EEG and EP Technologists test the functioning of the nervous system. Information on disorders and conditions, such as stroke, head trauma, epilepsy, infections, and congenital defects may be evaluated using these procedures. Intraoperative Neuromonitoring is performed by technologists skilled in assessment during surgical procedures that may put the nervous system at risk.
