At Brigham and Women’s Hospital, we provide cutting edge monitoring of brain and spinal cord function during surgery, working mainly in the operating room during surgery. BWH IOM Department is seeking a talented technologist to help provide monitoring on a day-to-day basis. The position is an evening position and will require on call every 3rd weekend, which entails carrying a pager and being able to come to the hospital when called.
The environment is sterile and the person who fills this position should have an understanding that they will be required to wear scrubs, hat and mask during the better part of the day. Also they will be working one on one with the patient, frequently requiring them to put needles into various muscles and other tissues. The ideal candidate will be working closely with a small team to ensure the best possible surgical outcome.
